Festival Endowment

The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival has enjoyed a 35-year history of presenting the world’s finest chamber music at a consistently high level of artistic excellence. The Endowment was created in 1988 to ensure the continuance of this tradition of artistic excellence for generations to come. It has been added to through the years and will finally reach a point of significance with the completion of this campaign.

Opportunities exist for named funds within the Endowment to support a broad range of Festival activities, including artists’ and composer residencies, education and outreach programs, and special Festival projects such as recordings and national radio broadcasts. Donors of $10,000 or more are recognized on a permanent plaque in St. Francis Auditorium.
 

The Endowment Campaign—A Gift of Excellence

In 2006 the Festival began a campaign to add $5 million to its endowment by the close ofthe 35th Anniversary Season in August 2007. This campaign will bringthe endowment from the current $2.5 million to $7.5 million, sufficient to ensure that the Festival can preserve both its artistic excellence and fiscal stability well into the future.

An anonymous donor has offered the Festival $1 million when we reach $4 million in combined gifts and pledges. Thanks to the exceptional generosity of our many donors, the Campaign is now within $300,000 of reaching this goal. We urge everyone who attends concerts, and who supports andappreciates the Festival to consider a campaign pledgeof any amount—which may include a planned gif—to enable us to qualify for this generous match.
