Now in her 20th season with the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Marji has been a featured artist in a wide range of repertoire from Bach and Zelenka to Stravinsky and Piazzolla. Since 1984, Marji has recorded and toured throughout Europe and Japan with the Met Orchestra and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. Her extensive discography includes the Schubert Trout Quintet and Octet with L’Archibudelli and Anner Bylsma, numerous recordings with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Met Orchestra, as well as the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival. Marji Danilow teaches double bass and coaches chamber music at the Mannes College of Music and the Bard Conservatory. Ms. Danilow’s instrument was made by Carlo Giuseppe Testore in 1692.
